Change Makers of the World at the United Nations Headquarters in New York

On 3 May 2023, Change Makers of the World was represented at the United Nations Headquarters in New York during the global commemoration of World Press Freedom Day.

Reza Hussaini, a member of the Administrative Board of Change Makers of the World, attended the international gathering held in the United Nations General Assembly Hall and organized by UNESCO.

The event brought together journalists, civil society representatives, government officials, and international organizations to discuss press freedom, freedom of expression, and the challenges facing independent media around the world.

For Change Makers of the World, participating in this international gathering provided an opportunity to engage with a global conversation closely connected to our work on human rights and advocacy.

We value opportunities to connect our work with international institutions and civil society and look forward to further cooperation for peace, equality, education, and human rights in Afghanistan and beyond.
