Since the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan, girls have been excluded from secondary schools and women from universities, severely restricting their access to education and opportunities.
In response, Change Makers of the World is working with volunteers and partners to provide online and in-person classes for girls and young people across Afghanistan. Through these and other educational programs, hundreds of students have directly participated, while our broader initiatives have reached thousands of people.
Our work also includes distributing books and school supplies and organizing educational, social, and youth empowerment programs. These activities are part of our commitment to making education more accessible, particularly for those whose opportunities have been restricted.
At the same time, we continue to call for the reopening of schools and universities to Afghan girls and women and the restoration of their right to education.
