Mohammad Jawid Amani, founder of Change Makers of the World, has been selected to participate in the 4th Migration Youth Forum, taking place from 21 to 26 January 2024 in Geneva, Switzerland.
The forum is organized in connection with the XIV Global Forum on Migration and Development (GFMD) Summit, chaired by the Government of France, and brings young people into international discussions on migration and policies affecting migrants, refugees, and young people on the move.
Amani was selected as one of 50 youth delegates from nearly 1,200 applicants worldwide. He is also among six participants receiving a full scholarship from the European Youth Foundation to attend the forum.
Ahead of the forum, Change Makers of the World has reached out to members of its refugee and diaspora network to gather their perspectives, priorities, and ideas. These contributions will help bring the experiences and concerns of young migrants and refugees into discussions at the forum.
We particularly invite young migrants and refugees under the age of 30 to share the issues they believe should receive greater attention in international migration policy, especially those affecting children and youth on the move.
Through this participation, we hope to contribute perspectives from Afghan youth, refugees, migrants, and diaspora communities to a wider international conversation about migration and development.
